Account information: Email address and hashed password when you create an account.
Birth information: Name, date of birth, birth time range, gender, birth country, and birth city — used to generate your reading.
Optional input: A personal question you may submit for a paid reading.
Payment information: Processed by our payment partner, Lemon Squeezy. We do not store your credit card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

To generate your personalized BaZi reading.
To save your readings so you can access them later from My Page.
To process payments for paid readings.
To improve the quality of our Service.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

OpenAI: To generate narrative content for paid readings. Your birth chart data (not your email or password) is sent to OpenAI's API for text generation.
Lemon Squeezy: To process payments. Your email and name may be shared with Lemon Squeezy during checkout.

4. Data Storage and Retention

Your reading data is stored securely and retained for 180 days.
Your account information is retained until you request deletion.
Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing and are never stored in plain text.

5. Cookies

We use session cookies to keep you logged in and to associate your reading data with your session. These cookies are HTTP-only and use the SameSite=Lax attribute for security. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your account and associated data.
Withdraw consent at any time by ceasing to use the Service.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your personal data, including HTTPS encryption, secure session cookies, and hashed passwords. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

8. Children's Privacy

The Chosen is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
